Last week, Beet It Sport celebrated not one but two incredible wins at the 2020 European Specialist Sports Nutrition Awards (ESSN Awards), designed to honour the most successful products and campaigns within the sports nutrition world and recognised excellence in a rapidly expanding and competitive industry.

We couldn’t be prouder for our Beet It Nitrate 400 to be recognised as both the ‘Best Sports Drinks’ and ‘Best Pre-workout’ product of 2020, proving once again our position as leaders in the nitrate supplement market. Informed Sport certified, each 70ml shot provides a consistent dose of dietary nitrate (400mg), derived solely from concentrated beetroot juice and is the natural nitrate product most trusted by the worlds sporting elite; most notably, by Eliud Kipchoge of the prodigious NN Running Team.

Beet It Sport is part of James White Drinks, a Suffolk-based soft drinks manufacturer which has been making fruit and vegetable juices for more than 30 years. We started supplying beetroot juice for research into dietary nitrate supplementation over 10 years ago. Professor Andy Jones at Exeter University initiated research into beetroot juice and exercise performance and was the first to start using both our Beet It Sport Nitrate 400 concentrated beetroot juice shots and the nitrate-depleted “placebo” equivalent, which was developed in conjunction with his colleagues at Exeter University in 2009.

Over the years, our Beet It Sport Nitrate 400 shots have been extensively adopted by the research community with more than 300 universities and research institutions worldwide resulting in 220 published medical and sports performance research papers since 2009. Notably, all published studies that have used our products are completely independent as we do not fund research, thus the research is not subject to funding bias.
